Being new to bike life this store owner has doubled as my teacher. Very knowledgeable, funny, and most of all patient. Most reliable shop in the prospect park area.
Went to this shop for the second time since moving to the neighborhood. Margot is very knowledgeable and very friendly and will not sell you anything you don’t need. Got a bike chain to secure my seat and some misc things. She answered all my questions and talked me out of buying things I didn’t need. She is very soft spoken and some people think she comes off as blunt or rude but she’s just the opposite. She’s very to the point and wants to get you what you need. Highly recommend this place for bike needs. It’s not a hipster bike shop and not flashy. It’s old school. It’s a shop that has been here for quite a while. Added bonus, She also has two adorable dogs that are old and very friendly.
Best thing about this Bicycle Store is their service and professionalism. Their pricing is high, but that's expected from a small store like this. Owner is experienced and can help with whatever you need. Ask about the history of the business.

Went in today to purchase 2 bike helmets, 2 bike locks and a get little service to my 20th century, old school 10 speed. Margo was a great help. Patient, informative, and friendly. She didn't try to over sell me. Figured out what I needed and we went from there. Her prices are very fair. Being that I moved to this neighborhood about 7 months ago, I'm happy to find a neighborly store owner. Building a great neighborhood begins with great neighbors! Thanks Margo.
