Great selection, especially when it comes to fish and meat. Prices are good too. They don't carry some of the specialty items that newcomers to the neighborhood might expect. Its size alone makes it a great grocery store by NYC standards. It can be difficult to check out sometimes due to long lines and slow cashiers.
It's okay, dont go in the afternoon unless you like a madhouse, people are rude, the place is generally clean, meat section leaves much to be desired, occasionally find good deals, I go here because it's closer to me but I prefer the one further up Broadway. Good for essentials, I get my fruits and vegetables elsewhere though. Ive had a few bad packs of chicken and beef from here. And cheese once too I never saw cheese already moldy from the store before. They let me exchange it but thought it was my not keeping it in the fridge when I literally bought it a few hours before and it went straight to the fridge....They have some interesting selections of ethnic food and spices.. Wish they had a better variety or selection. Good place for entertainment too I've seen fights and crazy people here.. too bad my phone was dead.
Managers are rude and racist! They don’t know how to talk to customers properly! I never met mangers like this how you want business ! And the way the treat their workers is unacceptable I seen them call them names etc I would never go back here till they treat people with respect
I believe this place repackage old meat with new labels on them. I've brought meat here several times once you open the package or turn the meat over it super brown. I've seen workers take chicken from packages and repackage the chicken in new packages to add a new price lable. So seems like people are buying old meat. The produce area always smell like mold due to the dirty green mats they used. You often see the workers pulling off dead leaves off of produce to make it new and charge customers the full price for the produce. This place makes enough money to do better than it is.
I'm used to big grocery stores...pretty much anywhere outside of NYC. This isn't to big but have a great selection of items and a huge frozen/fridge area. Nice selection of beer too. My go to spot, only because it's near my place
