Words can't express how happy I was with the see epic I got from here. Joe, the mechanic, went above and beyond the normal expectations of a repair shop and got me out of a serious jam. He helped me troubleshoot my check engine light issue successfully and inexpensively and even stored it for a few days while the parts came in so I wouldn't get more tickets for an overdue inspection. He saved me 100's of dollars in the end and I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle there if you have a check engine light issue or for anything
I took my car here on recommendation. I left it for a few days to have everything checked out, as we'd bought it recently and were having an issue with a leak. It was an older car, and granted, had 260 thousand miles on it. But, it ran well (despite the leak) and the engine was great. The brakes were strong and responsive - I had driven it all the way to CT and the far end of Long Island, without issue or concern.

When I picked up the car, without them having actually fixed anything, they said to just fill the coolant and I'd be fine. I got a few blocks away and realized the brake pedal was very soft, and I was having to pump the brakes to stop. I should have just turned around and gone back, but I continued home, thinking I would just get it parked and then figure it out. By the time I was half-way home, the brakes had gone out completely!! I pushed the brake pedal to the floor and nothing happened. Trying not to panic, I managed to get out of traffic, pull over and roll to a stop. I called the shop. His response? "I don't know what you're talking about - I didn't touch the brakes. Maybe you should pop the hood and see what's wrong." Because, I suppose, as a 30-something-year-old woman, I should know what to look for when your brakes go out. But, I don't.

That was it. I could have caused a major accident when I wasn't able to stop the car. Someone could have been hurt. Killed. But, he left me on the side of the road with nothing more than that. Please don't go here.
