We usually go to sheep's head and have dinner at Friday's right after.
Raised just 10 blocks from here I know what to expect. It's a "no other options" theater. More often than not i have to ask someone to be quite. (Court street cinema is way worse in that regard). Parking on the street is pretty rough but doable if u get there early (again court street is worse). What I mean to say is 2nd worst theater in the area, 3rd worst theater in area (pavilion and court street take 1 and 2 respectively).
Nice small independent theater. It does not have all the modern bells and whistles of the big chains, but as a result it also does not have the big ticket prices either. Seats are comfortable. Snacks are fairly priced and taste like they should. They also do birthday party’s as well
I love this theater! It's relatively inexpensive and the staff is very understanding about the needs of my special needs child. They have some fun arcade and grabber games, there's no stairs, and although the theater is a bit old, the screens and picture are perfect.
PS: get movie pass!!
Rats literally roaming the floors as I watch a 3 hour movie last night. Had to lift my feet off the ground. Multiple people left the venue because of this during the movie and I was very inclined to do the same but wanted to finish the movie; I was already beyond half way through the movie before I noticed. At first I thought my mind was playing tricks on me with shadows but I was wrong. These things were big too. So happy I didn't get popcorn. Heard multiple people also talk about it on the way out of the theater. Really wish there was a better local theater near me and I didn't have to travel far away for a good quality movie experience. Will try my best to avoid this theater from now on. Been growing up going to this theater for years and years, and this isn't the first problem to arise. This makes me really sad; I have really good memories going here, before I realized it was lackluster.
Cheaper then all other movie theaters in the area, but still the rooms are not to big, screens was not to Big either and was a little bit hot in the room the air condition wasn’t the best, the tickets you but outside it’s easy to miss it we missed it the first time and we waited in the line inside and then after waiting they sent us back out so we spend double the time there but still for $10 a movie it’s worth. The food and drinks there is also cheaper then a regular movie theater. and don’t forget if you come with a car parking is not easy there usually, so take it In mind to come a few minutes earlier if you come with your own car because the parking also it’s usually crowded so that means long lines so come a few extra minutes in advance, otherwise it’s ok.
