Can go from amazing to less than mediocre depending who massages you. Miscommunication of what service I made a reservation for and what I received. Got massaged through a bath towel when they ran out of sheets.
We like Bergen Spa. It's much nicer than some other similarly priced no frills massage places in the neighborhood. The space is well designed and very relaxing. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. They play peaceful music and it's reasonably priced.

Depends on who you get. I have had 5 star service and I have had 4 star service. But, you cannot beat the price.

Great deep tissue massage with perfect amount of strength on precise pressure points. The masseur took mental notes on what I'd informed her where my problems are (due to weight lifting training) and focused on those areas well. She certainly has enough experience to tell where those problems are using her bare hands. In the 60 minutes sessions, she had massaged me directly with clean sheet in between her hands and my body, later on then applied massage oil for the 3rd part of the session, and finished with hot stones and hot towel to wipe off the oil. When she massaged my head and neck, she also put a small thin towel in between my head an her hands. The place is well design and spacious with each compartment. The music is just right, it's so soothing in the background which relaxes you, but not catching too much of your attention. With all these good points, it also comes with a range of reasonable prices for difference services. Certainly good value for what you spent, while you can tip the masseur generously without breaking your wallet. Convenient location too with the Bergen St. station with F/G trains close by. Looking forward to try the reflexology next time.
