Great place. Good number of stores. Typical American mall. I like the stores here because they are larger than most of their counterparts in Brooklyn and have a better variety of items. Transport to and from this mall is an issue sometimes, especially at night because buses have a limited number of stops around the place
We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond over the weekend. We purchased 2 items, but I noticed 3 on the receipt. I asked the cashier to delete the third item we didn't purchase. That's when she quickly said, "Oh, I thought I deleted that". I wanted to say, "No, you didn't delete the $3.99 tube of lip gloss that you were going to use yourself and make me pay for." Instead, I didn't make a big deal out of the incident and just got the refund and left. So be careful if you shop there. Check your receipts before you pay.
Love this place. You can find almost anything your looking for in one or some of it's stores. It's easy to get to and from the streets or the Belt Parkway. Plenty of parking, and the customers seem happy and content. One day I got tired from shopping so I put my stuff in the trunk and took a break. I sat in the park right across the street on a bench under a tree. It was quiet and the breeze was cooling. I wonder if more people use this park? Anyway after 30 mins or so it was back to finish what I started.
That's my place. Easy to get to for both grocery shopping and getting something to eat. They need a movie theater there. That would be great. They are building plenty apartments there. The area look good for the future.
This shopping area has something for everyone if you have a practical means of getting there. If you are coming from Queens, only the Q8 serves the area & it doesn't take you very far. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. If you are handicapped/have limited mobility, you will need a car to get around from store to store. Once you're there, you'll be fine.
