Oh, and my two year old loves to close all the open washing machine doors. There are always plenty of doors to close here. Five stars.
its a clean shop, but the 6 minute dryers and $5.00 washers are not worth the malfunctioning quarter gobbling slots and the dickery of the manager.
The staff is nice and they have all new machines
they install new coin slots specifically to raise the prices; the old slots couldn't handle enough coins. then when they malfunction - good luck getting reimbursed for your missing $5.00. the evening attendant only clean and cant help you with anything, and when you contact the manager/owner, he's rude and indifferent.
This place is fine. Their prices are higher than another place that is close by, but I prefer doing my laundry here. The place is big and well lit. It is true, there is no hot water, but we shouldn't be using hot water to wash clothes, anyway. It's bad for the environment. Seriously, look it up.
I echo the earlier review about the cost of the machines. I have always been frustrated with the prices, but like most people I continued to go there because it was closest to my apartment. After my experience last night, I will be looking for somewhere else to wash my clothing.
I was trying to get laundry done before a trip out of town. I typically do laundry on the weekends, but in this instance, I had no choice but to try to squeeze some laundry in after work on a Tuesday evening. They are only open until 9:00 PM so I rushed home from work, grabbed a bag of laundry and got to LL at 7:45 PM (last wash is at 8:00 PM). I was back before my washer cycle was over at 8:15 PM to transfer my clothes to a dryer knowing that 45 minutes would be cutting it close. I was back again when there were several minutes left on my clothes. I and another customer were both in the process of removing our clothing from dryers as the clock approached 9:00 PM. Literally the second the clock struck nine, the cleaning lady said we had to leave and come back the next day. Again, we were halfway done emptying our dryers. She turned off the lights so we couldn't see anything and berated us in English and Polish saying we had to leave. The other customer politely said that if she could leave the lights on for just a couple more moments, we could get our things more quickly because we couldn't see our clothes. She continued to yell at us, but we simply stayed and emptied our dryers in the dark and didn't leave until we had all of our belongings. I could not believe the way the staff was treating the customers. It's not like it was 10 minutes after closing. It was literally the second the clock struck 9:00 and we were already in the process of trying to exit the premises at closing time.
This place is great, clean and very reasonably priced. There are always attendants available. Please note that the 1 star reviews were from years ago when it was owned by a different person. I've been gong here 11 years now and the current management is fantastic!
